Broken Spring? We Fix It Fast
A broken garage door spring is one of the most common — and potentially dangerous — garage door problems. Springs are under extreme tension and should never be handled by untrained individuals. Our Oakland technicians replace springs safely and correctly.
Torsion vs. Extension Springs
Torsion springs are mounted horizontally above the door opening and are the most common type in modern garage doors. They last 10,000–20,000 cycles and provide better balance and smoother operation.
Extension springs run along the upper tracks on either side of the door. They're common in older doors and lighter, single-car garages.
Signs Your Spring Needs Replacing

- Door moves in jerks rather than smoothly
